Hey there, I'm Nicole, and you are visiting the crazy experimentation that is my business site for Earth Metals. I hail from the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, which is arguably one of the most beautiful places in the country.

I began making jewelry almost 10 years ago because, simply put, I wanted to make my own things that nobody else had. Earth Metals has been the slow developing process of turning the hand-crafted items I make and sell to friends into a side-business; it's been a bit unnerving, but I suppose here we are.

Earth Metals is inspired primarily by my number one muse, nature, and materials derived from it. There is also influence from the music I listen to and its scene, and you'll see that in my "Skull-Line".
The stones I use are natural/ non-dyed, or at least that's what I seek out. I do my best to assure quality pieces, and if bones or stones appear to be dyed, I'll make a note of it under the description (spoiler alert: bone is not really turquoise, so the turquoise skulls most certainly have had a "die" job. Yes, that pun was intended).

This line and company is about appreciating what is real, hand-crafted, and natural, in a world filled with artificial products and marketing techniques (see Models & Company Ethics).
Everything I sell here is literally one of a kind. That saying is used ubiquitously to describe mass produced items; one of a kind means there is one, plain and simple.
A few things about myself:
I'm pretty old school; I still read paper books, am an avid nature and live music photographer, and use a flip-phone. I love records, shows, ruins, cemeteries, plants, hiking, meditation, whole foods cooking, horror movies and the outdoors. I book local heavy metal shows and am a former teacher. I also used to live in Costa Rica and love to travel. I dig positive people who are out to do good.

All of the photos featured on the site are my own.

Welcome to my site and thus inevitably my quirkiness.
Thanks for stopping by!

~Nicole~
