FAQ
What's with SHIPPING & DELIVERY?

I am only using PayPal at the moment to keep it simple. If this a huge issue, please email me. Your purchase will either be mailed to you (read 'Company Ethics' about the packaging to expect) with an address provided via email, or, if you're local, hand-delivered by yours truly.
The packaging will be plain. Why? Because every loaf of bread doesn't need to be double plastic bagged, you know what I mean? It doesn't make it more fresh and it's a huge waste. I figure I can't very well run an ethical jewelry line and then use excess packaging that will only get tossed.
Little velvet boxes are lovely, but they really only "shine" in that first moment; then they become another brick in an ever-growing pile o' junk taking over our lovely land.
The jewelry will stand for itself.

What's with RETURNS?

Well, they're not ideal, as I'm a one woman show here, but if you truly hate or are having an issue with your purchase, yes, absolutely contact me. I try to take an 'on model' shot for dimensions as well as a close-up of each piece to avoid this issue. As reiterated, I am striving to run an honest business and sometimes things don't go as planned. The benefits of hand-crafted products certainly outweigh the downsides, but with any human made item, you have to plan for a margin of error. If something breaks within a reasonable amount of time (it's jewelry, it happens) and you don't know what to do about it, again, contact me. I'm trusting your ethical compass, too, as there is a huge difference between "I was wearing this and something just broke" and "my toddler threw this against the wall and then dropped it down the toilet". We can communicate from there about how to fix it or send it back to me; as they are individual pieces, I cannot simply "send another one."

You say "One of a Kind." Does that mean when a piece is gone it is GONE?

Yes, that's unfortunately what it means. The art of crafting means a lot to me, and I loathe mass produced items and chain-stores. I love the hunt for interesting materials and never buy them in bulk (with the exception of findings), so if I see an amazing pendant shaped like a bat, that's the only one I'm going to get.
On the positive side, this means what you are purchasing is *truly* one of a kind, and nobody else in the WHOLE world owns it! This idea is the whole reason I started making jewelry almost a decade ago: because I wanted unique items that literally nobody else would have. This also keeps things from getting boring for me; I believe the minute an art form that you love becomes something you dread is the exact minute you've turned a wrong corner somewhere. I want to keep loving what I do; therefore, I am going to continue my stubborn ethical policy.
That all being said, you can always email me and inquire about something within the same style of something you wanted (that is gone) and we can talk about customizing something.
Why don't you make BRACELETS & RINGS?

Rings: Because I don't solder (although I would love to learn. The equipment, however, is expensive; if you would like to teach me, I would welcome that) and that is an extremely different process than what I do.

Bracelets: Because I simply don't want to.
You said you use 'Recycled Materials' occasionally. What does that mean?

On occasion I will re-use a piece from another piece of jewelry; more often than not, it's a clasp or a closure from something that was gently used to never worn. I try to reduce waste on a regular basis in my every day lifestyle and this ethic has carried over into my company.
Most of the Earth Metals jewelry is made with brand new materials bought for that individual piece; if there is a 'recycled' jump ring still in perfectly good shape on your jewelry item, I highly doubt you will notice. I do not use old 'ear hooks'; that would be gross.

Do you ever CUSTOMIZE pieces?

Sure, yes. Absolutely. It's a pinch more expensive but I am totally willing to work with you. Contact me and let's talk. I am currently working with a friend for a whole SET of jewelry to go with her wedding dress. I have some limits, but within reason, we can probably create something perfect just to fit your style and meet your needs.

Are you going to open an Etsy?

Maybe, but I highly doubt it. There are too many disadvantages to having an Etsy page, and I am not nearly computer literate enough to keep up with multiple sites. Plus, with my own website I have full control and can display my own photography as well.

Are any of your models single?

Is that a real question? Apparently it is; let me happily address this one: this is not a dating site and you are definitely barking up the wrong tree.
There is way too much going wrong with the world today and there are countless issues to be taken seriously; jewelry certainly should not be one of them.
